Atlantic City Campus Auxiliary accepting
applications for Martha B. Keates Fellowship Fund
Atlantic County residents pursuing nursing education may apply

The AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Atlantic City Campus Auxiliary is honoring its long-time volunteer and past president, the late Martha B. Keates, by awarding fellowship funds to qualifying applicants pursuing nursing education. The Auxiliary founded the Martha B. Keates Fellowship Fund for nursing students in recognition of Keates's community service, her Auxiliary membership and in support of the nursing profession.

Fellowship fund applications are open to Atlantic County residents. Applicants must be high school graduates enrolling or enrolled in a nursing program, or have completed the pre-requisites of a nursing program. Children and grandchildren of ARMC Auxiliary members are not eligible.

Applicants must submit a completed application, a 250-word essay on why they have chosen nursing as a career, a copy of their transcripts, and two letters of recommendation (from non-relatives) by June 15, 2016. They should also provide supporting documents relevant to community service or volunteer work, awards, certificates, commendations and/or other recognitions. Applications are at

Fellowship funds will be applied toward tuition fees or book purchases and other appropriate educational expenses as determined by the Martha B. Keates Nursing Fellowship Fund Committee. The amount of the disbursement is at the discretion of the Auxiliary.
