Staff will distribute gifts to homeless during and after Mission HealthCare’s annual Homeless vigil December 21.

AtlantiCare staff and leadership holiday donations – which are expected to impact hundreds of those in need - are in addition to the financial, clothing and food contributions, as well as donations of time, talent, and volunteer service AtlantiCare leaders and staff make to organizations throughout the year. One example is the various teams of AtlantiCare staff and leadership that have participated in the Gift of Life Family House Home Cook Heroes Program. Through this program, at least once a month, AtlantiCare Teams prepare meals for patients and guests who are awaiting or have received a transplant.

Additionally, AtlantiCare allocates more than $400,000 to community support programs and services annually. This includes sponsorships of local organizations and agencies that share AtlantiCare’s vision of building healthy communities. Other examples are grants and education AtlantiCare provides to schools through its Healthy Schools, Healthy Children program; and the community gardens AtlantiCare funds and programming and education it provides through its Growing Green Initiative.
