You are here: Home Neuro One Call Transfer
At ARMC, patients quickly receive the specialized transport and treatment they need, without having to take a helicopter to a hospital out of the area.
In the event of a heart attack or stroke, minutes matter. ARMC has emergency medical transport available around the clock to provide not only rapid transfer for emergency treatment, but also expert assessment and potentially life-saving care en route to the hospital.
AtlantiCare’s Medical Communications Center links communication between ARMC Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers, local agencies, hospitals and the general public, and dispatches the appropriate ambulance unit to your location. ARMC also offers non-emergency medical transport services for transfer to skilled nursing facilities, physician appointments, outpatient radiology procedures, and upon hospital discharge to home. For more information about these non-emergency services, please call 1-888-569-1000.
If you are a referring physician wishing to transfer a patient to the Heart Institute at ARMC* — which offers 24/7/365 interventional cardiology and cath lab coverage, as well as the region’s only cardiac surgery program — call the One Call Transfer System at 1-877-TRANSFER (1-877-872-6733). This connects directly to AtlantiCare’s Medical Communications Center, where AtlantiCare personnel conference in the accepting physician so that all necessary patient details can be communicated before the transfer is accepted. No other calls are necessary. One call does it all.
*The One Call Transfer System number can be used for both critical and non-critical care patients and for transfers to all AtlantiCare medical facilities, including the Harrah’s Regional Trauma Center at ARMC, ARMC’s State- and JCAHO-designated stroke centers, ARMC’s intensive care units, and ARMC’s neonatal intensive care unit. The referring physician will be kept informed about the status of the transferred patient and the treatment administered.
