Details: Nidaa Bukhari, a 6th grader at Texas Avenue School in Atlantic City, was named the winner of the AtlantiCare Healthy Schools Healthy Children Program's "Build a Better Pizza" contest, which took place this winter.
Students from six schools in Atlantic City participated in the contest to create an original pizza using healthy ingredients and toppings. The contest also called for creating a clever, fun name.
Bukhari's recipe for "A Pizza's a Pizza" includes whole wheat dough, portabella mushrooms, asparagus, chopped kale, and fresh mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. Tony Boloney's® Indigenous Pizza, Subs and Grub™, which co-sponsored the contest, will deliver Bukhari's pizzas to the 6th grade class as part of the grand prize.
