Now in its 39th year, the Auxiliary has contributed more than $2 million dollars to the hospital since its inception in 1974 and continues its fundraising through sales at the Pine Cone Gift Shop in the hospital; annual bake sale, flower, vendor and craft sales, its annual Pike-a-Thon and Holly Day Luncheon, as well as other special events and activities. ARMC’s Mainland Auxiliary raises funds for a number of patient services throughout ARMC including the Center for Childbirth, Heart Institute, and the Progressive Cardiac Care and Acute Care for the Elderly units. Among its more recent contributions was a bench in memory of the late Bruce Townsend, of Absecon, who was an AtlantiCare employee and AtlantiCare Creative Arts and Healing Program volunteer, which is in the Celebration of Life Walk outside the hospital.
