“I see cardiology as a field with huge potential to help people,” she says. “Understanding the complexities of your heart disease and what you need to do to manage it can be extremely overwhelming. I consider it a privilege to participate in this journey with my patients.”

\n\n

Born in Ireland, Dr. Dillane came to the United States to continue her medical education after earning her medical degree at The Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. After completing an internship in medicine and surgery at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, she performed her internal medicine residency and fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.

At AtlantiCare Physicians Group, Cardiology, Dr. Dillane is a general cardiologist with a particular focus on the prevention of heart disease and women’s health. She enjoys educating and building relationships with her patients and their families so they can take control of what can be a scary situation.

\n\n

“Heart disease is preventable, but in order to prevent it, you first have to think could I be at risk for developing it in the future and then seek out advice,” she says, adding that her dedication to patient education, prevention and women’s health – including the unique risk factors for women and heart disease – all allow her to relate to patients on a personal level.

\n\n

“I got the sense that AtlantiCare was as passionate about prevention and women’s health as I am,” Dr. Dillane says. “Patient satisfaction is so important. If they are happy with the care you deliver they come back and tell their friends.”

In her free time, Dr. Dillane is an avid hiker and can often be found exploring trails in state or national parks. She also enjoys spending time at the beach, baking and photography.
