About Me

In orthopaedics, Dr. Zachary Post finds a means to help people in real and significant ways. “Helping others is what being a doctor is all about. And I have the unique privilege to help people to walk again and return to activities they love,” he says. Board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Post has two decades’ experience, specializing in hip and knee replacement with a special focus on minimally invasive anterior hip replacement as well as complex knee surgery and revision surgery. He was always attracted to working with his hands and fixing problems. “Orthopaedic surgery was the perfect fit,” he says. Dr. Post earned his M.D. at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri. He did his surgery internship and his orthopaedic residency at University of Missouri, Kansas City. He completed a fellowship in hip and knee arthroplasty at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. Through his affiliation with Rothman Orthopaedics Institute, he is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Jefferson’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College, where he teaches and mentors both doctors and nurse practitioners. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He has been an invited lecturer, presenting at conferences held throughout the world and has authored or co-authored many peer-reviewed papers and journal articles. Dr. Post gives freely of his time and expertise. “I participate in Operation Walk, an organization providing free hip and knee replacement to those without insurance. I also am deeply involved in SICOT, an international orthopaedic organization dedicated to teaching leading-edge surgery skills to surgeons all around the world,” he says.

Originally from Utah, Dr. Post lives in Linwood with his wife and their four children. They enjoy reading, the outdoors, winter sports and music. He is also an accomplished pianist and organist. He volunteers to play piano and organ and lead the choir at his church.
