Carol Tanghare, APN, approaches every day from the patient’s perspective. “My goal is to ensure every patient gets the best possible treatment, but beyond that, I do everything in my power to ensure they get the information they’re waiting for, the follow-up they need and the courtesy they deserve,” she says.
Carol is a nurse practitioner specializing in vascular health—the blood vessels. She and her colleagues treat circulation issues to reduce pain, increase mobility and improve wound healing. She is board-certified as an adult health nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She earned her bachelor’s at the College of New Jersey, Ewing, N.J. and her master’s at Rutgers Camden.

Carol says she never wanted to do anything else—healthcare was always her career goal, from as far back as she can remember. She has worked with Dr. Khashayar Salartash, vascular surgeon, since 2014. Prior to that, she worked in both vascular surgery and pulmonology at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, N.J. She
started her career at Helene Fuld Hospital in Trenton. She has written many published articles and made a variety of presentations at conferences and other events. She places enormous value on her colleagues. She says teamwork is key to delivering the best care. “I’ve always been fortunate to be part of a good team. The better our working
relationships, the better we do with our patients.”
Carol lives in Wildwood Crest with her husband. They have three adult children and six grandchildren. On her time off, she enjoys gardening, the beach and spending time with family and friends. She is an active volunteer at a local school, where she does “whatever they ask me to do.”
