About Me
Mariah Sykes is a Physician Assistant for AtlantiCare Physician Group Surgical Services, specializing in general and bariatric surgery with over 10 years experience. In addition to assisting the operating room, she provides counseling for medical management of weight loss through our Center for Surgical Weight Loss and Wellness in our Egg Harbor Township office and via telehealth.

Mariah attended Boston College and earned her Bachelors in Biology in 2008. She then received a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011 before beginning her career at Atlanticare.

Mariah’s philosophy is to treat each patient as she would want a member of her family to be treated. Her goal is to ensure that every patient receives individualized attention and a great experience from Atlanticare. She enjoys working with bariatric patients, in particular, because “these individuals become Atlanticare patients for life and it’s very rewarding to see firsthand how their lives change for the better. It’s more than just weight loss; some patients are now able to exercise, resolve their diabetes or get off their blood pressure medications.”

Born and raised in Ocean City, she is living her lifelong dream of working in medicine and raising her three young children where she has grown up. This regional community and her family has always been in the center of her life and over the last decade she has built a work family here at Atlanticare.
