About Me
Paula Amin, MD, has seen aging relatives bouncing between specialists in an effort to keep on top of their health. They’ve received excellent care, and yet something has been missing – one voice to pull all of these individual threads together. As a family medicine physician, this is the precise role she loves to play. “People can get lost thinking about what to do with all of this information and recommendations,” Amin says. “For patients, it is extremely helpful to have a long-term doctor who can help you navigate the complexities of health care.”

Amin, a native of western Pennsylvania, earned her medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency, including a year as chief resident, at OhioHealth Grant Family Medicine.

Working at AtlantiCare’s Federally Qualified Health Center in Atlantic City, Amin focuses on connecting with her patients to educate and empower them to be more proactive about their health. One of the things she finds most worthwhile is sitting with patients to determine their health goals and then working together to create a plan to make them a reality. “I definitely came into family medicine with a great passion for preventative health,” she says. “The most gratifying part of my job is to see people as they become healthier than when I first met them.”

Assisting in this effort is a culture at AtlantiCare that she says is very supportive to her patients and herself as a provider. She knows the entire care team is invested in her patients’ success. It gives the people she cares for an advantage as they pursue their health goals. “The AtlantiCare team is so passionate about what they’re doing
\nhere to improve the health of this community,” she says. “The people I meet and work with share my passion for healing, and our patients benefit.”

When not caring for patients, Amin enjoys traveling, exploring the unique features of the community and reading.
