About Me
Tasos Aslanidis had his eye on a career in medicine from an early age. The ear, nose and throat specialty caught his
\nattention during medical training. “My mentors saw that I had good hand-eye coordination for surgery, and I really
\nlove the complexity,” he says. Since the area is a biological multi-tasker, his specialty demands deep understanding
\nof many different systems, like breathing, the nervous system, the eyes and the digestive tract.
\n“We see patients of all ages with many different problems, like allergies, sinus trouble and sleep apnea. And we end up treating families over generations, helping and getting to know them. It’s very gratifying,” he says. As medical
\ndirector, he works to ensure the community has access to the most advanced care. He and his team are actively pursuing expansion with the goal of providing the best possible services, close to home, limiting the need to travel
\noutside the region.
\nDr. Aslanidis is board-certified in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery and oro-facial plastic surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Otolaryngology. He is a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology. After pharmacy training at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, he earned his medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency in otolaryngology, head-neck surgery and orofacial plastic surgery at UMDNJ, Stratford, New Jersey and a general surgery residency at Northeastern Hospital, Philadelphia.
\nHe says it’s an exciting time to be in his specialty, which has advanced dramatically since his training. He’s been at
\nthe forefront. For example, he was the first ENT in southern New Jersey to perform stereotactic endonasal surgery
\nand balloon sinuplasty. “I’ve always been a people person and really love helping others,” he says.
\nA native of Greece, he is fluent in Greek. His family relocated to Philadelphia when he was nine. He lives locally
\nwith his wife. They enjoy travel and helping their son advance his NCAA hockey career.
