About Me
Vincent Lotano, M.D., FACS, FCCP, is the Medical Director of Thoracic Surgery at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. He most recently served as Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine and was on the surgical staff of Lehigh Valley Heart & Lung Surgeons in Allentown, Pennsylvania, prior to joining AtlantiCare in 2018.
\nDr. Lotano’s practice interests include lung cancer and lung cancer surgery, as well as all aspects of cardiac surgery, cardiac surgical intensive care, assist devices for heart failure, and mechanical support for lung failure.
\nHe also has an extensive background in sarcoma surgery from his time at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he concentrated on lung cancer and thoracic sarcoma surgery.
\nHe spent significant time working with Joel Cooper, M.D., one of the foremost thoracic surgeons in the world, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where Dr. Lotano served as Director of Thoracic Surgery and Head of Thoracic Sarcoma Surgery at Pennsylvania Hospital from 2008-2014.
\nDr. Lotano earned his medical degree from the UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He completed his general surgery training at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, and his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship training at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
\nHe is board certified in Thoracic Surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and board certified in general surgery by The American Board of Surgery. In addition, Dr. Lotano is a member of the American Society of Thoracic Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Chest Physicians.
