2024:


AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center recognized with a Blue Distinction® Centers for Maternity Care designation

2024 AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, a participating facility in Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey’s network, has been recognized with a Blue Distinction® Centers for Maternity Care designation for demonstrating higher quality care with improved patient outcomes and for taking action to reduce racial health disparities across the maternity care spectrum.

Get with the Guidelines® Coronary Artery Disease STEMI Receiving Gold Plus award with Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll

2024 Get with the Guidelines® Coronary Artery Disease STEMI Receiving Gold Plus award with Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll - ARMC Mainland Campus, Pomona, NJ, home of AtlantiCare’s Heart and Lung Institute. The award recognizes ARMC’s commitment to offering rapid, research-based care to people experiencing a specific type of heart attack called ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), known to be more severe and dangerous than other types of heart attacks.

Magnet Recognition

AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC) achieves American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Recognition Program® designation for fifth consecutive time. ARMC became the 105th hospital in the nation to attain status as a Magnet™ designated hospital in 2004 and was re-designated in 2008, 2013, 2018, and 2023.

Forbes - America’s Best-in-State Employers

AtlantiCare earned a spot of the Forbes America’s Best-in-State Employers list for 2023. This honor was made on a state-by-state basis and is centered on three distinct criteria: in-state indirect recommendations, national in-industry indirect recommendations, and direct recommendations. Employees were also surveyed for feedback in key areas. This is the second year in a row AtlantiCare has made the list.

American Diabetes Association Education Recognition Program

AtlantiCare TEAM Diabetes was recertified by the American Diabetes Association Education Recognition Program for the fourth time. The program has been ADA recognized since 2008. This recognition assures that AtlantiCare’s diabetes education services meet the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support. 

The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval®

AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Atlantic City Campus, earns again earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification for the fourth time since 2017. ARMC Mainland Campus earns Joint Commission recertification as a Primary Stroke Center, maintaining the designation it has held since 2008.

AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Emergency Medical Services earns American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline® - EMS - Silver Plus Achievement Award.

AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Campus earns American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline® STEMI Receiving Center - Gold Plus Achievement Award.

Hyperbaric Medical Society’s (UHMS)

AtlantiCare’s Wound Healing Center earns reaccreditation by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society’s (UHMS) full accreditation. Certification recognizes healthcare organizations that provide clinical programs across the continuum of care for diabetes. First certification was 2019.

Stockton University’s Community Leadership Award

AtlantiCare receives William J. Hughes Center for Center for Public Policy at Stockton University’s Community Leadership Award for commitment to public service.

The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification

AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Atlantic City Campus, earns again earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification for third time since 2017.  ARMC Mainland Campus earns Joint Commission recertification as a Primary Stroke Center, maintaining the designation it has held since 2008.

New Jersey Hospital Association’s Connect Award

AtlantiCare earns New Jersey Hospital Association’s Connect Award for Outstanding Communications in protecting staff, patients and communities against COVID.

Healogics® Center of Distinction Award

AtlantiCare’s Wound Healing Center (locations in Egg Harbor Township and Hammonton) earns Healogics® Center of Distinction Award.

2020:


Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation

For the ninth year in a row, AtlantiCare earns Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation recognition as a “Leader in LGBT Healthcare Equality.” The HRC is the educational arm of the country’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization.

Anticoagulation Center of Excellence 

AtlantiCare earns designation as Anticoagulation Center of Excellence from Anticoagulation Forum.


2019:

  • AtlantiCare earns American Heart Association’s (AHA) Workplace Health Achievement Index Gold Level Recognition for taking significant steps to build a culture of health in the workplace. The AHA recognized AtlantiCare at the silver level in 2018 and bronze level in 2017.
  • ARMC earns The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for advanced certification for Inpatient Diabetes Care. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a healthcare organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care. AtlantiCare is one of only 81 organizations across the country, and four in New Jersey that had then earned the certification.
  • For the eighth year in a row, AtlantiCare earns Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation recognition as a “Leader in LGBT Healthcare Equality.” The HRC is the educational arm of the country’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization.
  • ARMC’s Atlantic City Campus again earns The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Heart-Check mark for Advanced Certification for Comprehensive Stroke Centers. The Gold Seal of Approval® and the Heart-Check mark represent symbols of quality from their respective organizations. AtlantiCare first earned the designation in May, 2017.
  • Blue Cross, Blue Shield names ARMC a Blue Distinction® Center for Cardiac Care (Also named in 2014).

2018:

  • ARMC is re-designated as a Magnet™ Facility. ARMC became the 105th hospital in the nation to attain status as a Magnet™ designated hospital in 2004 and was re-designated in 2008, 2013 and 2018.
  • ARMC’s Satellite Emergency Department in Hammonton earns the Emergency Nurses Association’s Lantern Award for Excellence. The award recognizes exceptional and innovative performance in leadership, practice, education, advocacy and research and the organization’s commitment to providing quality are in a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Blue Cross, Blue Shield names ARMC a Blue Distinction® Center+ for Bariatric Surgery.

2017:

  • ARMC’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit earns the American Association of Critical Care Nurses’ Gold Beacon Award for Excellence. The recognition honors individual units that distinguish themselves by improving every facet of patient care.
  • Blue Cross, Blue Shield names ARMC a Blue Distinction® Center Knee and Hip Replacement.

2016:

  • Baby-Friendly USA, Inc., designates ARMC a Baby-Friendly® Facility. This prestigious international award recognizes hospitals and birthing centers that offer an optimal level of care for mothers and their babies.
  • National Safe Sleep Hospital Certification Program certifies ARMC as a Gold Safe Sleep Champion organization.

2015:

  • American Heart Association recognizes AtlantiCare as a Platinum-Level Fit-Friendly Worksite

2014:

  • New Jersey Business and Industry Association recognizes AtlantiCare with its Outstanding Employer Award.
  • AtlantiCare earns Healthcare Financial Management Association’s MAP Award for High Performance in Revenue Cycle.

2013:

  • New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians presents AtlantiCare Physician Group Primary Care Plus with Patient-Centered Innovation Award.
  • American Association of Critical Care Nurses recognizes ARMC Mainland Campus ICU with its Silver Beacon Award for Excellence™.

2012:

  • ARMC earns The Joint Commission for Gold Seal of Approval™ for Primary Stroke Centers.
  • ARMC earns The Joint Commission for Gold Seal of Approval™ for Heart Failure.
  • AtlantiCare Special Care Center earns Premier Cares Award for providing successful, innovative primary care to chronically ill patients.

2011:

  • ARMC is a finalist for the 2011 American Hospital Association-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize®. It is among five hospitals across the country the AHA recognizes for leadership and innovation in quality improvement and safety.
  • ARMC earns American Heart Association’s Get With The GuidelinesSM–Heart Failure Gold Performance Achievement Award 

2010:

  • Modern Healthcare announces AtlantiCare is among those in its third annual list of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare.
  • AtlantiCare earns HR Solutions’ Best-in-Class® recognition for its employee engagement, and patient care/customer satisfaction.

2009:

  • AtlantiCare is one of only five organizations in the country to earn the Baldrige Award. It is the nation’s highest presidential honor for performance excellence.
  • AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute earns Green Building Council’s LEED® Gold certification.
  • Hospitals & Health Networks names AtlantiCare among 100 most wired hospitals and health systems.
