He diagnoses and treats cardiac problems noninvasively, without inserting needles or instruments into the body. Instead, he uses heart monitors, imaging, stress tests, medication and lifestyle changes. Dr. Meghrajani is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He also holds board certification in adult comprehensive echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and cardiac computed tomography. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He earned his medical degree from Indira Gandhi Medical College, Nagpur, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and his fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. In addition to English, Dr. Meghrajani speaks Hindi, Urdu, Sindhi and Marathi.
Medicine runs in his family — both of Dr. Meghrajani’s parents are doctors and his father encouraged him towards cardiology. He says the specialty also appealed to him since it enables him to help many people. “Cardiac problems are so widespread. I wanted to be in a specialty with wide demand. I am very grateful for the support of my family and happy that I reached my goal.” He is excited to join AtlantiCare. “The people of south Jersey have all been so nice, warm and welcoming. Moving here is one of the best decisions I have ever made and I look forward to helping people here,” he says.
