About Me

Dr. Michael G. Link, MD, FACC, plays the string bass, an instrument built for establishing a steady beat. He quite literally – has got rhythm. Because he does, your heart is in good hands. As a cardiac electrophysiologist with AtlantiCare Physician Group Cardiology, Dr. Link’s expertise is in heart rhythm disorders. He uses advanced
\ndiagnostic services and surgeries to care for patients suffering from atrial fibrillation and other heart conditions.
\nThe field is constantly evolving as techniques and technology evolves to provide safer, more efficient care. In fact, he says the mindset surrounding cardiac care today mimics what you find in cancer care: an emphasis on early detection and treatment leading to better long-term outcomes. “When a patient and family embrace the care plan, it’s amazing how much better the outcomes are,” Dr. Link says. “At the end of the day we’re there to get outcomes, the best outcomes we possibly can. Good outcomes and being happy, that’s what I want for patients.”
\nDr. Link earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, followed by an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He completed fellowships in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania.
\nAt AtlantiCare, he enjoys the spirit of cooperation that exists with the other members of the care team. Combined with the needed collaboration with patients and a focus on clear, concise communication, it creates the best environment for clinical success. “To be able to express yourself to patients in a way they understand is an important skill,” Dr. Link says. “At the end of the day we are trying to provide results. Patients want to feel better. A lot of what we do is about providing options and action plans to make them feel empowered.”
