About Me
Neha Chawla, M.D., is board certified in medical oncology and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and joined the medical staff of the AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute in March 2016. Prior to joining AtlantiCare, Dr. Chawla worked at the CLL Research Consortium, Long Island, NY, seeing patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. She was involved in cancer research and worked on clinical trials for patients with advanced lymphoma. Dr. Chawla also completed a year of research focusing on teh development of platelets in bone marrow. After completing her training, she started her employment in a private practice hematology/oncology office in Petersburg, VA. Dr. Chawla has a special interest in treating patietns with breast cancer and lymphoma. Dr. Chawla earned her degree at Maulana Azad Medical College, Dehli University in New Dehli, Inida, one of the premier medical schools in India. She completed her intenship and residency in internal medicine at Rochester General Hospital, University of Rocherster, NY, and fellowship in hematology/oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Medical Association. She enjoys cooking and traveling. She resides in Cherry Hill with her husband and two daughters.
