Eye Exams and Vision Tests
Our comprehensive eye exam is much more than just a determination of your eyeglass prescription. It includes color, vision and depth-perception testing; glaucoma screening; macular degeneration and cataract testing; and checks for other eye disorders and diseases using pupil dilation and fundus photography (digital imaging of the interior of the eye). We also specialize in diabetic eye exams.
Contact Lenses and Eyeglasses
To determine the absolute best eyeglass prescription for you, we use an autorefractor, an advanced computer that gives us an estimation of your prescription. We then refine your prescription through subjective testing, where we note your response to different lenses to obtain the most accurate prescription. And yes, we still ask, “Which is better, one or two?”
Monitoring for Medically Related Conditions
Using a high-powered microscope, your optometrist can examine the structures of your eye, including blood vessels and optic nerves, to look for irregularities in your eye that can point to conditions like diabetes. A simple eye test can potentially save you from a myriad of life-threatening health conditions, such as heart disease, tumors and several neurological disorders.
