Gynecologic Surgery

We know that coming to terms with the idea of having surgery isn’t easy—but we also know how much easier it can be when you have a team of compassionate providers who are with you every step of the way.

If you have a gynecologic issue requiring surgery, we’ll work closely with you to ensure the best outcome, and whenever possible, we’ll use the latest minimally invasive techniques help reduce scarring and shorten your recovery time.

Gynecologic Conditions We Treat

Our board-certified surgeons specialize in a variety of conditions, including:

  • Endometriosis:  An abnormal growth of the uterine lining that can cause a number of problems ranging from severe pain during menstruation to scarring, cysts and even infertility. If endometriosis becomes severe, your doctor may recommend surgery.
  • Gynecologic cancers: If you have gynecologic cancer, including cervical, uterine, endometrial, ovarian, vaginal, and valvular cancer that medications and other treatments have not helped, then your doctor will likely recommend a hysterectomy.
  • Ovarian cysts:  Common pouch-like, fluid-filled growths on your ovaries. Those cysts that grow large or cause pain may require surgical treatment and removal.
  • Pelvic Floor Disorders: Pelvic floor disorders are caused by a weakening of or an injury to the muscles, ligaments, connective tissues, and nerves that support the organs in your pelvis.
  • Uterine fibroids: Uncancerous tumors that form in or on your uterus. Approximately 8 in 10 women experience uterine fibroids during their lifetime. The goal is to remove the growths but keep your uterus intact and functional.
