AtlantiCare offers two types of Cardiac Rehab Programs

Traditional cardiac rehabilitation

This program consists of 36 one hour sessions three time a week for 12 weeks to help patients recover from heart disease, heart failure, heart surgery and peripheral arterial disease. Patients exercise in a medically supervised gym. They also are educated about heart health and disease, the importance of eating a healthy diet and managing medications.

Intensive rehab program through Ornish Lifestyle Medicine

Ornish Lifestyle Medicine is backed by more than 35 years of scientific research to prevent, stop and even reverse progression of heart disease. This proven, non-invasive program consists of 18, four-hour sessions focused on bringing about sustainable lifestyle changes in four equally weighted elements: clinically monitored exercise, personalized nutrition, group support, and stress relief.
