Mary J Spinosi, DO

When her children were younger, Mary Jeanne Spinosi, DO, would say to them, “Find something beautiful today, and you have to tell me what it was when I pick you up.” It was a way to keep them grounded and focused on the present.

Every day, Dr. Spinosi finds something beautiful in the practice of medicine.

\n\n

“When I meet somebody I try to get to know them, figure out where they are coming from and what their concerns are,” she says. “It becomes such a part of you that you don’t want to give up until you figure it out.”

\n\n

Dr. Spinosi earned her bachelor’s degree in Science Administration at Widener University, and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship at Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford, NJ, and her family practice residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Stratford. She is board certified in family medicine.

As a Primary Care Provider at AtlantiCare Physician Group, Dr. Spinosi enjoys creating bonds with patients and their families to build a partnership in their care. What she enjoys about AtlantiCare is the teamwork encouraged by all members of the team – from primary through specialty care – to treat patients well.

It reinforces a lesson she learned early on. Throughout college and medical school, Dr. Spinosi worked for a local physician and saw firsthand the impact she could make.

\n\n

“I liked that he knew everyone in the family and cared for babies to seniors,” she says. “I’ve managed to do the same thing. It makes you feel like you are a part of their family, and I think that helps you give them the best care.”

\n\n

A lifelong learner, Dr. Spinosi enjoys reading about history when not caring for patients. She also gardens and likes to travel.
