About Me

For Dr. Priya Wagle, the ear, nose and throat specialty is the perfect combination; a field that enables her to develop meaningful, long-term relationships with her patients.
\n“We work through problems over years. I see extended families, creating relationships and engendering trust. I become a partner and help them think about their health and future. That continuity of care is very rewarding,” she says.
\nDr. Wagle is board certified in head and neck surgery by the American Board of Otolaryngology. With over 15 years’ experience, her practice is focused on non-surgical management of a variety of head and neck issues, including hearing loss, ear pain, ringing in the ears, dizziness, sinusitis, reflux, allergies, hoarse voice, swallowing problems and throat and ear infections.
\nA native of Queens, N.Y., a love of science brought her to the Bronx High School of Science, where she began to entertain the idea of studying medicine. She studied French literature at Cornell University, but kept an eye on healthcare with a pre-med minor. She earned her medical degree at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, completed a surgery internship at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York and her otolaryngology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
\nIn medical school, she found the variety of patients in otolaryngology the most rewarding. “I see all types of patients, all ages. Some medical specialties are much more narrowly focused but I get to treat everybody, men and women, infants to seniors,” she says.
\nBlessed with good health, she hadn’t experienced significant medical care as a patient until pregnancy. “I experienced, first-hand, the priceless impact medical professionals had in my life and that of my children. I have such gratitude for them. They inspire me, every day, to perform for the benefit of others. At the end of the day, when I
\nput my head on my pillow, I know I tried to help,” she says.
\nShe lives in Linwood with her three children.
