About Me
Saima Farghani, M.D., is an endocrinology specialist with over 20 years of patient care experience. Prior to joining AtlantiCare, she worked in a private endocrinology practice, where she focused primarily on the care of patients with diabetes mellitus. Her additional practice areas include thyroid, pituitary and adrenal disorders. Her special interests include weight loss, nutrition, and a low-carbohydrate lifestyle, with an emphasis on helping patients understand what foods to eat to help manage their blood sugar. She is also specially trained in the use of insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systems. Dr. Farghani earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Rawalpindi Medical College affiliated with The University of Punjab, Pakistan. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey, and a fellowship in endocrinology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital –UMDNJ in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. Dr. Farghani is a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
