Clinical Trials at AtlantiCare

Happy healthcare professional

Our physicians provide not only exceptional patient care, they also teach and perform research in an ongoing effort to bring the latest medical advancements to our patients. Clinical trials help physicians and researchers prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases.

Clinical trials are voluntary research studies conducted in people and designed to answer specific questions about the safety or effectiveness of drugs, vaccines, other therapies, or new ways of using existing treatments.  Enrolling in a clinical trial is your choice. You may choose to take part or not and are free to withdraw at any time. Feel free to speak to your provider regarding participating in a trial.

You can find a list of AtlantiCare’s open clinical trials below. For more information, please call (609) 383-6444.

Heart Attack Studies

Full Name

A Phase 3, multicenter, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study to investigate the efficacy and safety of CSL112 in subjects with Acute Coronary Syndrome.

Brief Description

This study enrolls adults who have had an acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) to receive either apolipoprotein or placebo infusions during their initial hospitalization and weekly for 3 additional doses. Subjects will be followed by the study team for one year and assessed for major acute cardiac events. Apolipoprotein is theorized to help the body eliminate excess bad cholesterol after a heart attack thus reducing risk for recurrent cardiac events.
