Hearing and balance services we provide:
Hearing testing (comprehensive audiologic assessment) is recommended for all ages for a variety of reasons. For children, it is imperative to assess and know their ability to hear, as it directly affects their ability to learn language and communication skills. It also includes failed newborn hearing screenings. We have the ability to assess hearing through auditory brainstem response (ABR) and otoacoustic emissions testing (OAE). For adults, not being able to hear appropriately has been linked to increased emotional, social and cognitive deficits. Hearing evaluations may also be done to monitor sudden hearing loss, noise exposure and cochleotoxic effects of medications.
