Childbirth & Breastfeeding Classes

Finding out you’re having a baby is an exciting time. With that excitement often comes a number of questions, especially for first-time parents. 

To help mothers-, fathers-, and siblings-to-be feel at ease, our maternity services include a variety of highly informative and interactive classes. In-peron sessions are led by our expert OB-certified nurse instructors. They’re also great refreshers if you already have children.

Breastfeeding Classes

We encourage all expecting mothers and their families to take this course starting in the 7th month of pregnancy. Topics include: latching-on, proper positioning, and establishing a milk supply. You’ll also gain practical tips from International Board Certified Lactation Consultants that are also nurses.

Baby Basics

This class introduces expectant parents in their 9th month of pregnancy, adoptive parents, grandparents, and caregivers to all aspects of infant care and safety. Topics include: feeding, bathing, skin care, circumcision care, and characteristics of the newborn.

This class reviews birth planning, having a healthy pregnancy, and what to expect from Week 8 through Week 40.

Childbirth Class

This class reviews the stages of labor, what to expect if things don’t go as planned, and the role of a support person.

BREASTFEEDING AND BABY BASICS

This class reviews caring for your baby once you leave the hospital and breastfeeding tips and techniques.
