Growth and Expansion
Seeding a Healthy Future: Ohio Avenue Medical Arts Building Campaign
We are actively seeking philanthropic partners to advance the various aspects of our next capital project. Please consider joining AtlantiCare as we continue to extend care to the people of Atlantic City and the surrounding communities.
The AtlantiCare Foundation has committed to raising $5 million for the Ohio Avenue Medical Arts Building to help close the gap and make a significant financial contribution to Atlantic City’s newest healthcare resource. Your participation will make a big difference toward reaching that goal.
The Medical Arts Building's most important role will be breaking down barriers to wellness. It will house new and expanded health services that include:
- The new, expanded location for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine program previously housed at the William L. Gormley AtlantiCare HealthPlex. Expanding space and services will better provide a continuum of care for women, children, and families. The new space will include a family planning clinic and family medicine program.
- A new dialysis center, updating the existing service that more than 200 area residents and visitors depend on.
- Medical education classrooms, an amphitheater, and simulation lab, which will expand educational facilities for undergraduate and graduate students training at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center; part of a key investment in the medical professionals of the future.
- A rooftop garden to serve as a green oasis of quiet. Throughout southeastern New Jersey, AtlantiCare facilities include serene spaces that promote healing and peace of mind.
- Additional medical services and clinic, which will be established as needs evolve. The space is designed to be flexible.
