Community Needs Assessment

As the leading healthcare provider in southeastern New Jersey, AtlantiCare is committed to delivering high-quality care and an outstanding patient experience to the thousands of individuals and families we serve. One of the ways in which we deliver on this commitment is to gain a better understanding of the community's health needs and concerns, and develop programs and services to ensure that we address these identified needs.
Our Community Needs Assessment Study takes place every 3 years.
The 2025 Study is now underway. Please check back later this year for results.
Building on our Vision
AtlantiCare strives to help each member of our community achieve optimal health. To do this, we seek to better understand the highest-priority health concerns of our population as well as the areas of unmet needs within our community. Every three years, AtlantiCare engages in a comprehensive Community Health Needs Assessment of Atlantic County. Our most recent assessment was completed in 2022. Previous assessments were conducted and made available in 2013, 2016, and 2019. In addition to the assessment, AtlantiCare also compiles an Implementation Plan in response to the assessment’s findings to document our intended actions toward meeting the stated needs of our community.
Please find the respective programs that AtlantiCare operates to improve the health of our community on the left hand side of this page.
