 Mainland Expansion Project

What it means for our community.

As part of our commitment to our community, AtlantiCare takes the voices of our patients and their caregivers to heart. That’s why we’re undergoing a transformation of our Mainland Campus to better meet your needs and the needs of your loved ones.

Once this project is completed, we’ll be positioned to keep giving high-quality care to our community — and even better prepared for any future healthcare emergency like the recent pandemic.

Highlights of the project include:

  • The addition of 50 private medical/surgical rooms
  • A new and updated ICU to improve patient care
  • Bedside dialysis capability in all ICU rooms
  • A new 12-bed dedicated observation unit
  • Increased elevator capacity

During this project — scheduled for completion in early 2025 — you may see or hear construction during daytime hours. However, noise should not be heard between 5 p.m. and 7a.m. Noise may sound like sawing, drilling or banging, which at times may be as loud as a gas-powered lawnmower. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our facility while keeping our patients in mind.

Ensuring patient comfort during the process.

Please know we will be making every possible effort to minimize the effects of construction on our patients. Construction Care Kits will be available to any patient who is affected by our renovations.

If you have concerns, please contact the Patient Experience office at 609-652-3444, and our team of Patient Advocates will assist you.
