Pharmacy Services

AtlantiCare strives to be the recognized leader in our region for the provision of pharmaceutical care excellence to the populations of patients served in our health system and throughout the community. We accomplish this through the delivery of an array of comprehensive services which promotes the profession of pharmacy and patient safety through professionalism, compassion, respect, teamwork and optimal patient-centric medication management. Exceptional quality is a core competence of our pharmacies, enabling valuable contributions in alignment with our corporate strategies of disease prevention and wellness.

Three outpatient pharmacies (one located onsite near the Mainland Emergency Department and two located offsite in Atlantic City and Pomona) are open Monday through Saturday servicing our communities. They are also technologically advanced, supporting e-prescribing, electronic messaging, automated refills, and bar-coding software. 

Our pharmacists in this setting routinely provide clinical interventions, poly-pharmacy review and management, medication compliance monitoring with direct feedback to prescribers, and mandatory pharmacist consults with follow-up phone calls for our clinic patients.
