Information About the Center

AtlantiCare Team Diabetes is a diverse team of dedicated health professionals that offers diabetes support and education to guide you through your diabetes journey. Our team is comprised of health care professionals with varied backgrounds to suit individual needs. AtlantiCare Team Diabetes is accredited by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) as a recognized education program. We use ADA guidelines to ensure our educational content is up-to-date and evidence based. We are here for you!

Understanding Diabetes

Diabetes is a complex disease that can quickly lead to complications if unmanaged. There are many components to managing diabetes including blood sugar testing, diet, medications, exercise, to name a few. Uncontrolled diabetes can lead to stroke, heart attack, kidney failure, infections, amputations and more. Leading a healthy lifestyle can prevent or delay these complications.

Education and Resources Covered in the Class

Diabetes Support Group is a free program for those with diabetes and their support system. The group is led by our diabetes educators and covers a different topic in diabetes management each month.

Location and Time Group Meets

Diabetes Support Group meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 12pm at the AtlantiCare LifeCenter at 2500 English Creek Ave, building 200 on the first-floor meeting room.

Join our team of diabetes educators for a monthly support group to discuss diabetes management topics, challenges and triumphs. As a community, we can help each other living with this stressful disease.
